Pricing
How does the $79/$199/$499 pricing work?
These are flat monthly subscriptions, billed month-to-month. Annual prepay saves 17% (Solo $65/mo, Crew $165/mo, Multi $415/mo). Setup fees are paid once at kickoff: $499 / $999 / $2,499.
Are there any usage-based or per-user surcharges?
No. Solo includes 1 seat, Crew includes 10, Multi is unlimited. Push notification volumes are generous (5K/mo on Crew, 50K/mo on Multi). Stripe payment processing is at standard Stripe rates direct to your account — Koydo does not mark this up.
Do I have to pay annually?
No. Month-to-month is fully supported. Annual is offered as a discount, never a requirement.
Onboarding
How long does it take to launch?
About 14 days from kickoff call to live on the App Store and Google Play. We guarantee 30 days — if Apple and Google have not approved your branded app within 30 days of the kickoff call, we refund your setup fee in full.
What does the kickoff process look like?
Step 1: 5-minute application form, reviewed same-day. Step 2: 30-minute discovery call to capture your brand, services, pricing, and service area. Step 3: We build, brand, and submit to both stores. Step 4: Launch in ~14 days.
Can I bring my existing customer list?
Yes. CSV import on day one of onboarding — bring your full book of customers across with names, contact info, and recent job history.
What about HouseCall Pro / Jobber data migration?
We import your customer list and recent bookings on day one. Full service-history migration (multi-year invoice + estimate archives) is available on the Multi tier.
Customization
What if my business is in two cities or has two brands?
Crew supports two brand flavors via custom theming. Multi includes full multi-location dispatch with per-location settings, separate phone numbers, and per-location reporting.
Can I use my own domain for the marketing site?
Yes — included on Crew and Multi. On Solo, the marketing site lives on a koydo subdomain (yourname.koydo.app); you can upgrade to a custom domain anytime for the difference in plan price.
Do I have to use Stripe?
Stripe is the default and runs at 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction direct to your account. Multi tier supports custom payment integrations on request (Helcim, Square, etc.) for an integration fee.
Can I customize the app beyond colors and logos?
Crew tier ships with theme + logo + brand showcase. Multi tier supports full custom screens (e.g., a remodeler-specific milestone tracker, an HVAC-specific equipment-age widget) via the Koydo Studios design team — quoted on intake.
Data & Ownership
Do I own my app?
Multi tier: yes — your app is published under your dedicated developer account, which you own. Solo and Crew: Koydo publishes under our shared developer account, but the branding is exclusive — only your business appears in your app, and we will transfer the listing to your own account at any time for a one-time $999 fee.
Do I own my customer data?
Yes. All customer records, jobs, payments, and Comfort Club memberships live in a Supabase Postgres database that you can export at any time as CSV or full SQL dump. We do not sell, share, or repurpose your customer data.
What if I want to leave Koydo?
Multi-tier customers keep their app and developer account. Solo and Crew customers get a 30-day data export window, and we can transfer the App Store / Google Play listing for a one-time $999 fee. No clawback fees, no exit penalties.
Where does my data live?
On a Supabase Postgres database in a US region (typically us-east-1). Encryption at rest and TLS in transit are on by default. We can set up a dedicated Supabase project for Multi tier customers on request.
Operations
Can I import my existing customer list from Housecall Pro, Jobber, or ServiceTitan?
Yes. On day one of onboarding, send us a CSV export from any of those platforms (every one of them supports CSV export of customers and recent jobs). We map the columns into Service OS for you. Multi-year invoice and estimate archives are imported on the Multi tier.
Does Service OS work for businesses with both residential and commercial customers?
Yes. Each customer record carries a residential / commercial flag, and you can configure separate service menus, pricing tiers, and tech routing rules per segment. Crew and Multi tiers support per-segment branded landing pages on the marketing site.
What happens when a customer pays partial — can Service OS handle a partial payment?
Yes. Stripe Connect supports partial payments out of the box. The customer can pay any amount between 1 and the invoice total in-app; the remaining balance stays on the invoice and triggers a follow-up reminder per the operator-configured cadence. Refunds and adjustments are handled in the operator dashboard.
How do refunds work in the app?
Refunds are issued from the operator dashboard with a single click — full or partial — and Stripe pushes the funds back to the original payment method (typically 5–10 business days). The refund event is mirrored to QuickBooks on the Multi tier so your books stay reconciled.
Can my dispatchers see crew GPS in real-time?
Yes, on the Crew and Multi tiers. Field tech mobile apps publish location to the dispatch dashboard at a 60-second cadence while a job is in "en route" or "on site" status. Location reporting pauses outside of active job windows and is fully disclosed to the technician — Service OS is not a covert-tracking product.
What is the App Store and Play Store review process for branded apps?
Apple typically reviews in 24–48 hours; Google Play first-submissions take 3–7 days due to identity verification. Koydo Studios handles every step — metadata, screenshots, privacy declarations, and resubmissions if reviewers request changes. Our 30-day launch guarantee covers approval on both stores; if you are not approved within 30 days of kickoff, we refund the setup fee.
How does pricing change when I add my second crew?
It does not, unless you cross the seat limit. Solo includes 1 seat, Crew includes 10, Multi is unlimited. A typical 2–4 crew operator stays on Crew at $199/mo flat — no per-tech surcharge. Most field service competitors charge $35–$65 per extra user; Koydo does not.
Can the AI tutor and customer chat handle Spanish?
The customer-facing chat is multi-language at the model layer (English and Spanish are best-tested today; we also pass-through to other major languages). The operator dashboard ships in English; full localization of the dashboard is on the roadmap and is offered as a custom build on the Multi tier today.
Are there any contractual minimums or long-term commitments?
No. Month-to-month subscriptions, no annual lock-in, no clawback fees if you cancel. Annual prepay is offered as a 17% discount, never a requirement. The setup fee is one-time at kickoff and is refunded in full if we miss the 30-day launch guarantee.
Do I get a real branded app or a "white-label" web wrapper?
A real native iOS and Android app, built in Flutter, submitted to the App Store and Google Play under your business name. Your customers download "TrueForm Remodeling" or "NewRise Heating & Cooling" — not "Koydo." On the Solo and Crew tiers the app is published under our shared developer account; on Multi it is published under your own developer account. Either way, the user-visible app is fully branded as you.
Support
How do I get support?
Solo: email support, next-business-day response. Crew: email + chat support, response within 4 business hours. Multi: dedicated onboarding specialist + priority queue + phone support, response within 1 business hour.
What if Apple or Google rejects my app?
We handle the resubmission at no charge. Our 30-day launch guarantee covers App Store and Google Play approval — if you are not approved by both stores within 30 days of kickoff, we refund the setup fee in full.
What is your uptime SLA?
We target 99.9% uptime on the booking back-end and marketing site. Multi tier customers get a contractual 99.95% SLA with credit terms. Status page is published at status.koydo.app.
Can I see real Koydo code before I sign?
Yes. The marketing site for our reference customer NewRise Heating & Cooling is open-source at github.com/robertwaltos/koydo-newrisehvac. You can read the same Next.js + Tailwind code we ship to every Koydo customer.
